Our Client-First Philosophy

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how we work.

That said, in our experience as Triangle area real estate professionals, we've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting our clients first. This means keeping ourselves accessible, being good listeners as well as good communicators, and responding quickly to your needs.

This "client first" philosophy has always been our approach and it requires us to continually improve our skills and ways of doing business. In addition, we've found that the latest technologies are enabling us to do everything we've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped us to extend the range of services we provide to our clients.

So when you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Triangle area, please contact us.

About Jennifer

I love what I do!  Helping buyers find their ideal home and sellers accomplish their goals is truly rewarding to me, so I put my heart and soul into my work. I have been doing this since 1997 and it is still thrilling to me--every time...  I started out investing in real estate.  I bought, fixed up and rented then sold many, many houses and townhouses of my own.  Then I worked with other investors helping them find and buy great investment properties and managing those properties on their behalf.  Eventually, I began working with individual homeowners as well and discovered my passion!

Before real estate, I worked for Marsh & McLennan and Arkwright as an account executive.  I worked with "Fortune 500" clients to manage their commercial insurance and risk management programs.  This was an excellent foundation for real estate brokerage in so many ways as was graduating from the Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1990.

My husband, John, works at the North Carolina Railroad Company as their Real Estate Representative.  Our four children, Jack, Ellie, Luke and Abby love to help me in the real estate business and I encourage it!

About Kelly

I grew up in the mountains of Virginia, graduated from Radford University in 1992 then moved to Raleigh for graduate school in 1995. I immediately fell in love with the area and can honestly say there’s nowhere else on earth I’d rather live! After receiving my Master of Public Administration degree from NC State, I went to work for the NC Department of Commerce, then spent five years as a fiscal analyst for the NC Legislature and later went on to be become the Director of Economic Development for the University of North Carolina system. After 10 years of working in the public sector, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. It has been a great career move for me as well as my husband, Spence, and our two daughters, Elizabeth and Lily Kate. Through my education and previous work experience, I have developed strong analytical skills that I put to good use for my clients. More importantly though, I pride myself on listening to my clients and really getting to know them so I can tailor my services to meet each individual’s unique needs. Whether you’re buying or selling your first home or your fiftieth home, I’ll meet you where you are. My commitment to you is prompt, reliable, professional service that will never leave you feeling like just a number!

About Jodi

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Communications Studies. After college graduation I moved to Phoenix, AZ where I met my husband, Tom. We have lived in Munich, Germany, the San Franciso Bay area and Orange County, CA before moving to Raleigh a few years ago. We fell in love with the Triangle and can't imagine raising our three children, Malia, Gray and Hadley, anywhere else. While living in Calfornia I was a Relocation Specialist and an assistant to a real estate broker which motivated me to obtain my CA Real Estate license. I am very excited to be a part of the Spencer Properties team!

About Nancy

I grew up as an Army brat and was fortunate to live all over the world.  When my father retired we were living in Virginia Beach, Va. I went to Radford University and graduated in 1991. After working for a year in my field, I applied to American Airlines and was hired as a Flight Attendant. I was assigned JFK airport as my home base and moved to Long Beach, NY in early 1993. I met my wonderful husband Ed there and decided to settle down a bit, although travel has always been in my blood, and got a job as an Executive Assistant with Merrill Lynch and Company in lower Manhattan where I worked until 2003.

Ed and I decided to move to a warmer climate and he also decided to change his career path and became a Police Officer for the Raleigh Police Department. We moved to Raleigh in January of 2003 and I worked as an Executive Assistant with a property management company in the area and fell in love with real estate and the Triangle area in general. A year later we welcomed our first beautiful daughter Erin. Our second beautiful daughter, Bridget, followed in 2007.

I am very excited to be back in the working world and to be able to work for such a wonderful company!

About Cori

I graduated from the Southern California College of Business & Law in 1996 and went on to work as a paralegal for a private investigator. My interest in real estate led me to obtain my California Real Estate License and partner up with my mother to become a successful real estate sales team.

In 2004, my husband, Matthew, and I decided to leave California in search for a great place to raise our children. We made a trip to the Raleigh area and immediately knew that we wanted to relocate our family here. We still feel fortunate to live in such a wonderful place and we now have several family members that live here as well.

I have enjoyed many years as a stay-at-home mom to my three amazing children, Audrey, Evan and Griffin, and now I am happy be a part of the Spencer Properties team!
